Publizo MCP server
Run your blog from Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor
Publizo has an MCP server, so your AI assistant can write articles, publish them and manage your sites from a chat. You sign in with your Publizo account once. After that the assistant works with your account's sites, plan and article limits, the same as the dashboard.
5 free articles every month, forever. No credit card.
- Write a new SEO article on any topic, in any of the SEO modes (uses one article from your plan)
- List and open your articles, publish them or move them back to draft
- Connect, check or disconnect sites
- Turn autopilot on or off per site and set the days, times and draft or live status
- Check your plan, usage and remaining articles, and open billing
- Save your own OpenAI, Gemini or Claude key for the BYOK plan
Your server address
Every assistant needs the same address:
https://ioamdachfjktnydqjqwf.supabase.co/functions/v1/mcpThere is no API key to copy. The first time you connect, your assistant opens a Publizo sign-in page. Sign in and approve the access, and you are done.
Connect it to Claude
- In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors.
- Choose Add custom connector.
- Name it Publizo and paste the server address above.
- Click Connect, sign in to Publizo and approve.
Connect it to Cursor or another MCP client
Add Publizo to your MCP settings file (in Cursor, ~/.cursor/mcp.json), then sign in when prompted:
{
"mcpServers": {
"publizo": {
"url": "https://ioamdachfjktnydqjqwf.supabase.co/functions/v1/mcp"
}
}
}Any client that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth sign-in works the same way. In ChatGPT, custom connectors are available on plans with developer mode: add a new connector with the same address.
Things to ask once it's connected
- "How many articles do I have left this month?"
- "Write an article about choosing a beginner road bike for my cycling blog, as a draft."
- "Show my last five articles and publish the one about tyre pressure."
- "Turn on autopilot for my recipe site on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, as drafts."
Built to be careful with your account
The server tells your assistant to confirm the topic and your remaining articles before it writes anything, never to write articles in a loop, and to ask before deleting an article or disconnecting a site. Writing an article uses one article from your plan, exactly like the dashboard, and the same plan limits apply.
You can connect a WordPress site from a chat, but that means typing its Application Password into the conversation. Connecting sites from the Publizo dashboard keeps the password out of your chat history.
FAQ
What is an MCP server?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants like Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor use outside tools. Publizo's MCP server gives your assistant 17 tools for writing, publishing and managing your blog.
Does it cost extra?
No. The MCP server is included on every plan, including Free. Writing an article through your assistant uses one article from your plan, the same as writing it in the dashboard.
Do I need an API key?
No. You sign in with your Publizo account through a normal sign-in page, and your assistant gets access to your account only.
Can my assistant publish articles live?
Yes, if you ask it to. It can publish an article that is already on your WordPress site or move it back to draft, and autopilot can be set to draft or live. Drafts are the recommended default.
How do I stop the assistant from using Publizo?
Remove the Publizo connector in your assistant's settings. You can reconnect at any time by adding the address again.
